UCSF Imaging Update in Bermuda is organized by The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Office of Continuing Medical Education and will be held during Jun 24 - 29, 2018 at Fairmont Southampton, Southampton Parish, Bermuda. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 25.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits and 24 SAM Credits.
Course Outline :
This course is a broad and diverse review of cross-sectional imaging of the body and will focus on abdominal, thoracic, neuro and pediatric imaging utilizing CT, MR, PET and Ultrasound in core areas that are of importance to both the general and the subspecialty radiologist.
Lectures will focus on practical tips & pointers and recognition of potential pitfalls that will aid the radiologist in the accurate interpretation of images in the daily clinical setting. The applications of the ACR Appropriateness Criteria on the management of findings will be discussed as appropriate.
Course Objectives :
At the completion of this course, the attendee should be able to:
• Confidently manage emergent cardiovascular findings.
• Diagnose common pediatric findings likely to be encountered in routine practice.
• Understand the role of PET/CT for malignancy workup and management.
• Describe the role of CT and MRI for evaluation of acute and chronic spinal imaging.
• Differentiate normal from abnormal findings during pregnancy with ultrasound.
• Understand the role of imaging for periprocedural care.
