UCSF CME: Pacific Coast Fetal Cardiology is organized by The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Office of Continuing Medical Education and will be held from Aug 03 - 04, 2018 at The Park Central San Francisco, San Francisco, California, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event is Radiologists, Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialists, Neonatologists, Cardiologists, Pediatricians, Ultrasound Technicians/Sonographers, and Healthcare Professionals who perform routine prenatal screenings. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 11.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

The UCSF Pediatric Heart Center and UCSF Fetal Treatment Center invite you to attend the Second Annual Pacific Coast Fetal Cardiology 2018: An Interactive and Case-Based Educational Symposium, taking place August 3-4, 2018 in San Francisco. The primary goal of the symposium is to improve the cardiac screening and diagnostic capabilities of the obstetric and fetal cardiac programs in the region. We will also be highlighting recent advances in fetal diagnosis and treatment and innovative therapeutic strategies for congenital heart disease.

During the one-and-a-half day symposium, experts in the field of fetal cardiology and maternal-fetal medicine will interact with healthcare professionals to discuss detection of serious cardiac abnormalities during pregnancy and how to discern when to refer to a fetal cardiology specialist for further testing, counseling, and intervention. Additionally, they will provide education on the current International Society for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG), American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), and American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) guidelines to increase screening efficacy and facilitate appropriate referrals to specialized prenatal imaging centers.

Conference Objectives are :
An attendee completing this course will be able to:
• Identify and detect serious heart defects during pregnancy;
• Discern when to refer to a fetal cardiology specialist for further testing, counseling, and intervention;
• Incorporate the current International Society for Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG) and American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) guidelines to increase screening efficacy and appropriate referrals to specialized prenatal imaging centers.
