OVERVIEW
UCSF CME: 63rd Annual LeRoy C. Abbott Society Scientific Program and 50th Annual Verne T. Inman Lectureship is organized by The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Office of Continuing Medical Education and will be held during May 10 - 11, 2018 at Marines' Memorial Club & Hotel, San Francisco, California, United States of America. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 12.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
The program brings together members of the Abbott Society and faculty and residents of the UCSF Department of Orthopaedics in a collaborative presentation of recent advances and updates in orthopaedic surgery. Our schedule of presentations will address current clinical and research topics that affect clinician decision-making in day-to-day practice.
Conference Objectives are :
The purpose of this course is to increase competence and improve clinical practice in the care of Orthopaedic patients. We specifically anticipate improvements in skills and strategies to:
• Use current techniques and indications to manage proximal humerus fractures;
• Apply surgical techniques for complex distal tibia fractures;
• Evaluate and manage glenoid bone loss in shoulder arthroplasty;
• Incorporate new technologies regarding total ankle replacement;
• Describe upcoming changes in bundled payments and reimbursement reform;
• Evaluate new options for pain management post surgery.
