Toronto Head and Neck Imaging Symposium 2018

Toronto Head and Neck Imaging Symposium is organized by Medical Imaging, University of Toronto and will be held on Jun 23, 2018 at Peter Gilgan Centre for Research and Learning, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The target audience for this medical event is Radiologists, Radiation Oncologists, Technologists, Radiology and Oncology Trainees, Otolaryngologists, Surgeons, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Dentists and Dental Professionals.

Conference Description :
The treatment of head and neck disease involves a multidisciplinary team approach. Medical imaging plays an important role in initial diagnosis and staging of disease as well as post-therapy surveillance. There is a substantial need to provide imaging and associated clinical practitioners involved in the care of head and neck patients with core basic information regarding the radiographic anatomy of the extracranial head and neck as well as the clinical and imaging findings of the various diseases.

This program includes a structured review of some of the more common clinical entities that are encountered in both community and tertiary radiology practices as it pertains to head and neck disease.

Conference Objectives are :
At the end of this program participants will be able to:
• Describe the radiographic anatomy of the head and neck
• Develop an approach to evaluating the post-therapy neck
• Identify the principles of functional endoscopic sinus surgery and relevant sinus anatomy
• Identify the imaging features of perineural tumor spread in head and neck cancer
• Describe the radiographic features of malignancy neck adenopathy
• Recognize the sonographic features of thyroid malignancy
• Develop criteria for biopsy of thyroid nodules
