OVERVIEW

The Neurobiology of Stress and Resilience Conference is organized by Neuroscience School of Advanced Studies (NSAS) and will be held from Aug 18 - 25, 2018 at San Servolo, Venice, Veneto, Italy.

Conference Description :
This Advanced Course will discuss the field of stress neurobiology and its importance in disease risk and resilience. Experts will cover a breadth of neuroscience topics related to stress regulation, starting with an overview of the history of stress research and including the most cutting-edge tools and methods used by experts in the field. Understanding stress neurocircuitry, its development and maturation, and its role in key behavioral measures is fundamental to uncovering factors underlying neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric diseases. How an organism responds to and recovers from stress, acute and chronic, involves a coordination between stress neurocircuits and feedback from the endocrine system. Dysregulation along many points of this axis can occur at any time across the lifespan, and points of vulnerability are largely distinct for males and females.

Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
