OVERVIEW

The Heart by Numbers: Integrating Theory, Computation and Experiment to Advance Cardiology 2018 is organized by Biophysical Society, Max Delbruck Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC), German Center for Cardiovascular Research e. V. / Deutsches Zentrum fur Herz-Kreislauf-Forschung e. V. (DZHK), Berlin Institute of Health (BIH) and will be held from Sep 04 - 07, 2018 at Max Delbruck Center for Molecular Medicine in the Helmholtz Association, Berlin, Germany.

Course Description:
The focus on mathematical and biophysical models coupled with experiments sets this meeting apart from cardiological and biological meetings. Topics will include subcellular structures, excitation-contraction coupling, metabolism, contraction, organ electrophysiology, heart mechanics, total heart function, disease modeling and therapy from combined modeling and experimental perspectives.

Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
