The 39th Forum For Behavioral Science In Family Medicine is organized by Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and will be held from Oct 10 - 13, 2018 at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Chicago - Magnificent Mile, Chicago, Illinois, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is Physicians, behavioral scientists/coordinators and allied health professionals in medical education. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 20.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
About the Forum:
First held in 1980, The Forum for Behavioral Science in Family Medicine has served to stimulate the advancement of behavioral science in family medicine for 38 consecutive years. At the core of The Forum’s success are three objectives: promote professional networking, provide high-quality professional development opportunities, and advance the integration of behavioral science in family medicine training.
Course Objectives:
• After attending sessions and workshops which describe effective teaching strategies and educational interventions, attendees will be able to plan, provide and/or evaluate effective educational interventions for behavioral science training in graduate medical education settings and for clinical practice for primary care settings
• By attending clinical practice updates and other sessions focused on common psychiatric and health problems seen in primary care, the attendee will be able to apply up to date evidence-based research to support clinical interventions in their clinical settings.
• After attending sessions focused on the nature of teams in medical care and medical education, attendees will be able to identify opportunities to improve the functioning of teams in their clinical and educational environments and will identify strategies to improve communication, cooperation, improve wellbeing, safety, and quality of care.
