OVERVIEW
Texas Society of Anesthesiologists (TSA) Annual Meeting is organized by Texas Society of Anesthesiologists (TSA) and will be held from Sep 06 - 09, 2018 at Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa, Austin, Texas, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is Anesthesiologists. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 22.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
The practitioner of anesthesiology must possess the scientific background for clinical practice and must maintain state-of-the-art
knowledge of not only the specialty, but of all additional related disciplines which may impact it. The anesthesiologist must serve as an expert in matters involving health care delivery, and serve as an informed provider/manager of clinical and educational services. The anesthesiologist must maintain an up-to-the-minute armamentarium of knowledge skills for the selection and use of complex equipment, pharmacological agents and procedures necessary for the provision of quality patient care. As more surgical procedures are performed outside the operating room, anesthesiologists must be familiar with the various clinical settings and medical emergencies with which he/she may be confronted. Anesthesiologists must consistently update their knowledge level and skills.
Conference Objectives are :
• Discuss the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists’ legislative agenda and the process it made in the 86th Legislature and any
regulatory implementation;
• Discuss the current administrative regulation and proposed rules from administrative agencies with regulatory authority
over the licensure;
• Demonstrate the comprehensive perioperative management afforded by various Perioperative Surgical Home models can
play a pivotal role in delivering this higher quality and lower cost patient care -thereby achieving greater health care value;
• Define the Perioperative Surgical Home Model (PSH) and its implementation at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical
Center for Orthopedic Trauma Service;
• Recognize the process by which measures are proposed, assessed, endorsed and advanced into inclusion in Federal Programs;
• List and define specific measures of efficiency in the OR;
• Utilize basic concepts of medical ethics and how they can be applied to guide appropriate discussion and disclosure of potential harm by anesthetics and sedatives;
