Skin Disease Education Foundation's (SDEF's) 42nd Annual Hawaii Dermatology Seminar is organized by Global Academy For Medical Education and will be held during Feb 04 - 09, 2018 at Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa, Kauai, Hawaii, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event for dermatologists, residents, family physicians, internists, fellows and other physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses who will gain important insights into the management of patients with skin diseases. Course Description:
The latest advances in the treatment and management of common and complex skin diseases of the skin, both for adults and children as well as new developments in aesthetic medicine.

Learning Objectives are :
• Integrate into daily practice evidence-based recommendations on new and emerging therapies for common dermatologic diseases.
• Implement updated strategies for managing acne, rosacea, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis and actinic keratosis.
• Explain the roles of currently available biologic agents in the treatment of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, and appropriately incorporate newer biologics into therapeutic practice as these become available.
• Describe the mechanisms of action, efficacy, and safety of the biologic agents used to treat psoriasis, as well as the factors involved in appropriate patient selection.
• Assess patients for comorbidities and manage psoriasis as well as associated comorbidities. Integrate into daily practice new clinical developments and up-to-date guidelines for the management of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and other immune-mediated inflammatory rheumatologic diseases.
• Analyze treatment approaches for the pediatric patient with common as well as complex skin diseases.
• Incorporate the recent research advances in understanding and treating pediatric dermatology issues such as atopic dermatitis and pediatric acne.
• Discuss new approaches to therapy including pathway targeted therapy in the treatment of melanoma.
