Course Description:
The advancement of new materials and technology, dentistry has evolved significantly in recent years. Although little has changed on the design of removable partial dentures (RPDs), technology and materials for fabrication of RPDs have dramatically improved. This presentation will discuss some of the newer concepts in the design of RPD, especially combining the applications of dental implants and fixed restorations in the same patients. The application of digital technology and some of the newer materials in designing and fabricating TRPDs and RPDs will also be introduced. The goal is to improve the quality of care and improved patient acceptance.
Conference Objectives are:
• Discuss the design and fabrication of RPD when combining with dental implants and fixed restorations.
• Explain the new advancement in applying digital technology in RPD design and fabrication.
• Describe some of the newer materials for TRPDs and RPDs.
