Mammograms to MRI 2018 is organized by Duke University School of Medicine and will be held during Jun 17 - 20, 2018 at Kiawah Island Golf Resort, Kiawah Island, South Carolina, United States of America. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 17.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.
Course Description:
This course is designed to provide a comprehensive review and update of both established breast imaging modalities along with advances in state-of-the-art techniques. A complete discussion – with emphasis on practical advice – of analog and digital mammography, breast ultrasound and interventional techniques will provide a strong foundation to advance to newer technologies. Identifying the role and interpretation of breast MRI will be given special attention.
Educational Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, the participants should be able to:
• Accurately interpret a screening or diagnostic mammogram.
• Determine the appropriate workup of a breast lesion.
• Accurately interpret breast ultrasound exams.
• Determine the correct follow-up after needle core biopsy of breast lesions.
• Establish sensible indications and techniques for breast MRI exams for their own facility.
• Accurately interpret breast MRI exams.
• Discuss the potential advantages and possible limitations of advanced modalities for breast imaging.
