Course Themes:
The Musculoskeletal theme addresses the progression of evidence-based practice in MSK treatment and service delivery. It showcases developments in research and practice , service improvement and opportunities for future development.
This theme is delivered in partnership with the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP) as part of their 50th anniversary celebrations.
Abstracts are welcome from CSP members working in all sectors, settings and sub-specialties linked to musculoskeletal care. Whether an expert researcher, NHS clinician or private practitioner, this theme provides an opportunity to showcase your research or evidenced improvement initiative at the CSP national scientific conference.
Primary Care & Workforce Transformation addresses the current national priorities related to supporting clinical academic careers, developing research and supporting evolution in the workforce. With workforce numbers consistently identified as an area of priority to meet the needs of the UK health system, this theme will cover developments in education delivery and practice based learning, workforce planning and the role of research.

Our Rehab Matters theme draws on the CSP’s Rehab Matters campaign, a priority focus area for 2018, reflecting the critical role that rehabilitation plays in reducing dependence, increasing resilience and expediting care. This is vital for the sustainability of universal healthcare in the UK, to provide optimal quality of life to populations and support people to remain in or return to work.
This theme is delivered in partnership with AGILE and ACPIN, representing a focus on frailty and long term conditions.
