Overdentures with Narrow-Diameter Implants - Hands on & Live Surgery is organized by University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) School of Dental Medicine and will be held during Jun 29 - 30, 2018 at UNLV Dental School, Las Vegas, Nevada, United States of America. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 16 CE Credits.
Conference Description:
Participants will attend a 16 hour (2 consecutive days) course which encompasses evidence and clinical based lecture theory with a hands-on workshop with narrow-diameter implants. In addition, on the second day in the morning, participants will have the opportunity to view live patient surgeries. The live patient surgical procedure will illustrate live placement of implants on a patient and how to convert the patient’s existing dentures into overdentures. In addition, participants will have an additional 4 hrs (½ day) of advanced lecture and hands-on workshop encompassing digital 3D treatment planning and surgical placement of implants using CBCT fabricated surgical guides on models.
Learning Objectives:
• Understand LOCATOR attachments, treatment planning, and prosthetic space requirements
• Treatment planning narrow-diameter implants, anatomy requirements, foundational concepts of overdentures
• Acquire knowledge and confidence in utilizing narrow diameter implants and surgical kits
• Acquire basic understanding of the surgical and prosthetic protocols of narrow-diameter overdentures
• Acquire basic understanding of the role and techniques of CBCT guided narrow-diameter implant surgery
• Acquire techniques to begin marketing narrow-diameter implants in a clinical practice
• Exposure to various clinical philosophies and the latest research in digital implantology.
