OVERVIEW

Oral Surgery for the General Practitioner is organized by Toronto Institute for Dental Excellence Inc. (TIDE) and will be held during Jun 08 - 09, 2018 at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The target audience for this medical event is dentists interested in learning about extraction techniques with simultaneous socket preservation. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 14 CE credits.

Conference Objectives are :
• Provide the dentist with the treatment planning and technical skills for extractions
• Understanding the different materials for socket preservations
• Understanding when to refer to a specialist for management
• Understanding consent/ risks/ benefits of extractions and socket preservations
• Overview of anatomical structures and case selection with emphasis of potential complications
• CBCT interpretation of anatomical structures and volume of graft
Extraction techniques
• Understanding and planning with CBCT and virtual impressions after socket preservations
• Cadaver surgical exercises for extractions highlighting basic techniques
• Hands-on cadaver site preservation with different materials
Suturing techniques
• Bone preservation using different materials including membrane applications
• Soft tissue materials in conjunction with extractions
• Review different case presentations
• Know post-operative care and provide post-operative instructions
• Using different materials and assessing CBCT scanning for post-operative treatment planning.
