Oral Oncology Symposium: A Multidisciplinary Approach is organized by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) and will be held from Nov 16 - 17, 2018 at Rockefeller Research Laboratories, New York City, New York, United States of America. Course Description:
The goal of this multidisciplinary symposium is to provide the basic knowledge of head and neck cancer diagnosis, treatment and management of its sequelae and complications. We will focus on the critical importance of a multidisciplinary approach to diagnosis and treatment of head and neck malignancy. The panel of speakers will include members of the Head and Neck Service, Dental Service, Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Pathology, Speech and Hearing Service and Rehabilitation Service. In addition to providing en masse lectures, there will be an opportunity for attendees to participate in a multi-disciplinary panel discussion.
Course Objectives:
• Identify the major fundamentals of treatment for head and neck cancer
• Describe the multidisciplinary approach in the treatment of head and neck cancer
• Identify oral complications of head and neck cancer treatment
• Dental Oncology Program: Identify the various oral sequelae of cancer and its treatment, tools for diagnosis and management
