North American Brain Injury Society (NABIS) 14th Annual Conference on Brain Injury is organized by North American Brain Injury Society (NABIS) and will be held during Mar 14 - 17, 2018 at Hyatt Regency Houston, Houston, Texas, United States Of America.
The target audience for this medical event for Rehabilitation (PM&R) physicians, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Neuropsychologists,Speech Pathologists
Occupational therapists, Physical therapists, Social workers, Nurses, Case managers, Advocates ...all those providing care and treatment to patients with brain injury.
Course Description:
This conference is designed to present the latest scientific and clinical advances in the area of brain injury. Emphasis will be placed on a multidisciplinary approach in the management of patients with brain injury from acute care through to community re-entry and beyond.
An internationally recognized faculty will present on a broad range of brain injury topics relating to the development of effective treatment interventions and restoring persons with brain injury to optimal levels of functioning. In addition to the myriad of invited talks from luminaries in the field, participants will have an opportunity to present their work through the Call for Abstracts process. Accepted abstracts will be published in the Journal of Head Trauma Rehabilitation and presented as oral sessions, panels and scientific posters.
Conference Objectives are :
• Support research activities so as to increase knowledge and understanding about causes and consequences of brain injury and effective treatment interventions.
• Support and encourage rehabilitation programs and other measures that are critically necessary to restoring persons with brain injury to optimal levels of functioning.
• Conduct and coordinate educational programs and training activities that disseminate contemporary information about brain injury, its consequences, and possible prevention.
