Nitrous Oxide Review is organized by University of Maryland School of Dentistry (UMSOD) and will be held on Nov 10, 2018 at University of Maryland School of Dentistry, Baltimore, Maryland, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is Dentists/Dental Hygienists. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 7 CDE credit hours.
Course Description:
This course will follow the ADA guidelines for teaching nitrous oxide. It will include background, history, patient evaluation and the entire spectrum of sedation/anesthesia. Dr. Leventer will cover respiration and related physiology, drug interactions, contraindications, monitoring and record keeping. Adverse reactions will also be discussed. Attendees will also participate in a hands- on component and a review of the equipment needed for administration
Course Objectives:
• Describe the components and use of the nitrous oxide equipment
• List the advantages, disadvantages, risks and objectives of nitrous oxide sedation
• Be able to utilize nitrous oxide in the clinical setting effectively and safely
