ASCO Review 2018 - Updates & Advances In Cancer Therapy is organized by University of Miami Health System and will be held on Jun 30, 2018 at Conrad Fort Lauderdale, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is medical oncologists, and radiation oncologists, as well as physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners and trainees in these disciplines engaged in the care of oncology patients and will include discussions of new standards-of-care therapies based on the most recent clinical research findings presented at ASCO. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 5.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Conference Description :
This conference will provide participants with an overview of the most up-to-date research and clinical advances in the treatment of various oncologic malignancies, based on abstracts presented at the June 2018 annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). The presentations will guide the clinicians’ continuing education through clinical knowledge, structured feedback to improve clinical decision-making and patient management. It will provide clinicians with an opportunity to discuss their opinions on the latest research findings and identify strategies to improve their practice. This conference will also serve as a teaching opportunity enabling the presenters to share their professional knowledge and experience.
Conference Objectives :
• Summarize recent and emerging data from key studies in clinical and translational cancer research for the following areas: lymphoma/ haematological malignancies, breast cancer, genitourinary cancer gastrointestinal tract cancer, lung cancer, head and neck cancers, melanoma and sarcomas.
• Implement strategies designed to improve the quality of cancer care, address barriers to optimal care and enhance the patient experience.
• Include new evidence as appropriate when developing innovative clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes.
• Identify scientific advances that further enhance knowledge of cancer biology and pathogenesis.
