Medico-legal Workshop for Physicians is organized by University of Calgary - Continuing Medical Education and Professional Development and will be held on Sep 21, 2018 at O'Brien Centre, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Course Overview :
This intensive workshop is for physicians providing legal opinion, documentation and expert testimony in cases involving sexual violence. The goal of this workshop is to provide a judicial framework for physicians preparing legal documents and/or attending court proceedings.
Course Objectives are :
• Appropriately document findings in clinical and forensic patient records.
• Review key principles involved in legal document preparation.
• Review the legal process and expectations of a physician in court.
• Proceed with preparing to qualify and attend court proceedings.
Who Should Attend :
Physicians called to testify or provide documentation in cases of sexual violence.
Credits :
