4th Annual Lyophilization USA Conference is organized by SMi Group and will be held from Nov 15 - 16, 2018 at Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel, Iselin, New Jersey, United States of America.
Who Should Attend
Presidents, Vice Presidents, Managing Directors, Directors, Associate Directors, Chiefs, Heads, Principals, Managers and Analysts of: Freeze-drying/ Lyophilization, Formulation Scientist, Drug Products Development , Bioprocessing, Process Development, Sterile/ Fill-Finish, Production, PAT, CMC,Chemistry Manufacturing, Quality Assurance/QA, Analytics, Technical Support, Manufacturing, Packaging, Technology Innovation, Engineering.
Course Description:
16% of the top 100 pharmaceutical drugs and 35% of biologic drugs are lyophilized, and with more than 30% of the FDA-approved parenterals lyophilized and soon more than half of injectable drugs to require lyophilization, there’s a need for standardization and expansion of the lyophilization process in pharmaceuticals. Lyophilization is one of the most time-consuming and expensive operations, and improved drying technologies are required for current and future products.
Course Highlights:
• Discover novel techniques and advances within lyophilization
• Gain insight into the regulatory challenges and how to overcome them
• Discuss the current, unmet needs within lyophilization; and the action points needed to address them
• Explore the most recent analytical and other technologies
• Hear from experts on alternative freeze-drying methods e.g. spray drying and foam drying
Many pharmaceutical and biotech companies are expanding their lyophilization capacities to extend the lifespan of high-value products, such as vaccines, antibodies, proteins and blood plasma. As more biopharmaceutical drugs are being developed, the need for innovative lyophilization technologies is increasing.
In addition to exploring the future of lyophilization, the two-day conference will provide attendees with the opportunity to network with industry experts from whom they will gain insights into innovative technologies, discover new methods of scale-up and technology transfer, and explore alternative processes beyond lyophilization.
