Course Description:
Chronic wound care is an important subject that affects many different medical fields. Physicians, mid-level providers and nurses need to understand the basics of wound healing in order to understand how to best take care of patients.
This one day conference will allow for health care providers to learn more current practices in wound care as well as background information on what causes a wound to become a chronic, non-healing wound, and how healing of these wounds compares to normal wound healing. The seminar will dive into the benefits of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and Endovascular techniques that are best for healing. It will focus on the atypical difficult wounds, venous procedures and how you can team work limb preservation.
