Introduction to Practical Acupuncture is organized by University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) and will be held from Sep 07 - 08, 2018 at UNT Health Science Center - MET Building, Fort Worth, Texas, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is practicing physicians needing practical knowledge in medical acupuncture. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 10 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
This introductory course will provide practical knowledge in medical acupuncture to practicing physicians. The course will cover acupuncture history, theory and evidence; patient selection guidelines; technique and aftercare; acupuncture in clinical scenarios; and practical and clinical acupuncture techniques.
Course Objectives are:
At the conclusion of this activity the learner should be able to:
• Describe the history, theory and evidence of medical acupuncture
• Select patients who would benefit from medical acupuncture treatment
• Provide medical acupuncture to reduce the need for prescription medications and invasive procedures to treat pain
• Perform acupuncture in clinical settings
