Intermediate Skills for Laparoscopic Surgeons is organized by Cuschieri Skills Centre (CSC) - University of Dundee and will be held from Dec 10 - 12, 2018 at Cuschieri Skills Centre, Dundee City, Scotland, United Kingdom. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 18 CPD points.

Conference Description:
This conference provides laboratory based practice of intermediate laparoscopic skills, aimed at surgical trainees (SPR) with some prior experience of laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, allowing easy exchange of ideas and experiences.

• Laparoscopic suturing and intracorporeal knot tying

• Free laparoscopic suturing exercise

• Intraoperative cholangiography, primary closure of CBD or 'T' tube insertion
• Hiatial repair using tumbled square knot

• Demonstrate optimal bite placement and knot tying technique during laparoscopic tissue approximation
• Demonstrate safe stapling technique
• Utilise protack fixation device safely
• Demonstrate safe and accurate handling mesh
