OVERVIEW
German Congress of Orthopaedics and Traumatology / Deutsch Kongress fur Orthopadie und Unfallchirurgie (DKOU) is organized by Intercongress GmbH and will be held from Oct 23 - 26, 2018 at Messe Berlin, Berlin, Germany. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 22 European CME credits (ECMECs).
A current challenge is the digitalisation in OandT. Smart implants, wearables and big data applications have the potential to revolutionize our therapeutic options and are a major chance for the future. The counterparts are the risks of a digital process optimisation and economisation specially for the protection of the personal patient data entrusted to us. Here we are all required to help shape the dynamic development.
We will discuss both measures for improved prevention as well as solution strategies for the therapy of manifest infection. The aspiration of the German Congress of Orthopaedics and Traumatology still is a high contentual quality both with regard to the broadness of the field and the differentiation of the subspecialties. Sections and cooperating expert associations are noticeabely integrated in the congress programme. This offers sufficient space for the presentation and discussion of the latest results for the representatives of the field’s spine, hand and wrist, arthroscopic surgery as well as those of sports medicine and rehabilitation.
The participation of our guest nation, Great Britain, in the individual main topic sessions allows for border-crossing scientific and professional exchange which all participants will surely benefit from.
