Florida Association of Periodontists (FAP) 2018 Summer Meeting is organized by Florida Association of Periodontists (FAP) and will be held from Aug 10 - 11, 2018 at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando, Orlando, Florida, United States of America. Course Description:
This Conference will highlight essential scientific principles for the safe and effective use of moderate sedation in clinical practice. Emphasis is placed on drug regimens having proven safety and efficacy in controlling procedural apprehension. Principles of appropriate patient monitoring along with the recognition and management of sedation-related complications will also be addressed.

Course Objectives are:
• Characterize minimal, moderate and deep sedation, and distinguish these from general anesthesia
• Describe the appropriate use of various drug classes useful for providing sedation, including differences in single drug versus multiple drug regimens.
• Describe appropriate monitoring of perfusion, ventilation and oxygenation
• Describe recognition and management of related complications.
