European Respiratory Society (ERS) Clinical exercise testing: Advanced is organized by European Respiratory Society (ERS) and will be held during Feb 22 - 23, 2018 at Eurostars Roma Aeterna Hotel, Roma, Lazio, Italy.

The target audience for this medical event for Clinicians, Pulmonary Physicians, Respiratory physiologists, Respiratory Therapists, Trainees.

Course Description :
This course will provide a comprehensive in-depth overview of cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET), from the physiological basis to result interpretation. This will allow participants to identify the indications for exercise testing and to manage the most common protocol (i.e. incremental) used in a clinical setting. Participants will be able to familiarise themselves with the equipment and methodology involved in exercise testing and to undertake appropriate interpretation of the results in different clinical scenarios.

Learning Outcomes :
Following this course, participants will be able to:
• Describe the physiological responses to incremental exercise which are most pertinent to CPET interpretation.
• Understand the key technical and operational features of CPET as applied to clinical practice.
• Acquire an advanced understanding of the pathophysiological responses to incremental exercise in different clinical scenarios.
• Master the key aspects of clinical CPET interpretation.
