The target audience for this medical event is ideal for Home/Durable Medical Equipment (HME)/Pharmacy providers who are preparing for initial or renewal accreditation and are responsible for policies and procedures and PI and Compliance Programs.

Conference Description:
DMEPOS workshops are designed to prepare healthcare providers for a successful renewal or initial accreditation survey through a comprehensive overview of the entire accreditation process. The one-day course is conducted with a personalized approach that delivers valuable insight for both attendees who are experienced in the accreditation process and those who are new to their accreditation responsibilities.

During the workshop, an AU Clinical Educator and Surveyor will provide participants with:
• Hands-on training for using the take-home ACHC Accreditation Guide to Success workbook, a program-specific and comprehensive tool that offers guidance on the meanings and requirements of each ACHC Accreditation Standard
• Resources that contain audit tools and hints
• How to prepare a Preliminary Evidence Report (PER)
• How to create an effective Plan Of Correction (POC)
• Essential components of accreditation preparation
• Best practices for a successful on-site survey

• Understand Medicare DMEPOS requirements
• Become familiar with the initial and renewal accreditation process
• Detail the essential components of functional Performance Improvement (PI) and Compliance Programs
• Learn how to prepare an organization for the accreditation survey
• Establish expectations for survey day and strategies for survey success
• Learn how to utilize the ACHC Accreditation Guide to Success workbook to ensure ongoing compliance
