OVERVIEW
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Course is organized by DOCS Education and will be held during May 18 - 19, 2018 at Chicago, Illinois, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is Dentists, Cardiologists. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 15 hours of CE credits.
Course Decription:
Graduates of this course will be able to safely and confidently respond to cardiac and medical emergencies both inside and outside the dental office. This course provides you with all the training needed to handle a crisis with confidence.
Course Objectives:
• Prepare your office to operate as a small code team outside of a hospital setting.
• Learn how to use dental office emergency equipment to run a MEGACODE emergency.
• Create a management plan for medical emergencies that could arise in your office.
• Confidently use state-of-the-art AED equipment from Cardiac Science.
• Receive hands-on training using advanced airway management equipment.
• Develop your skills through practice on high-tech patient simulators.
• Boost your awareness of crucial emergency drugs and equipment.
• Leave with the knowledge to set up your office and train your team.
Topics Include:
• Essential skills to greatly reduce the likelihood of an emergency
• Creating an emergency medical plan for your office
• Recognizing the medical emergency
• Correctly assessing the patient
• Selecting the correct AHA algorithm for each emergency
• Building an effective, in-office code team
• What to expect, and how to pass, the AHA’s 50-question certification test
