Conference Description:
Core Curriculum for the Cardiovascular Clinician offers a comprehensive and skill-focused curriculum covering cardiology from A to Z for early career Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. Learn from cardiovascular experts at this interactive course featuring hands-on workshops and practice-based sessions that focus on the basics of risk reduction, heart failure, CAD, AF, valve disease to the specifics of non-invasive imaging, physical exams and interpreting EKGs.

The overall goal of this course is to offer cardiovascular clinicians a core competency-based curriculum through a comprehensive review of best practices in cardiovascular care as well as a discussion of the latest updates in cardiovascular disease management.

Conference Objectives:
• Describe common pharmacologic agents used in the care of high volume subsets of CV patients such as DAPT, anticoagulants, dietary supplements, and diabetes medications.
• Identify best practices of the cardiovascular examination.
• Select the appropriate diagnostic evaluation for the care of the cardiovascular patient and accurately interpret the results.
