Child Protection : Recognition and Response (CPRR) is organized by Advanced Life Support Group (ALSG) and would be held on Mar 23, 2018 at Advanced Life Support Group training center, Manchester, England, United Kingdom.

The target audience for this medical event for doctors in training mainly in paediatrics paediatrics, emergency medicine and in general practice. Although doctors in training working in general practice and other specialty areas may find aspects of the course relevant. Candidates who have taken this course include GP's and specialty trainees and specialists in paediatric dentistry.

Conference Objectives are :

• Recognise signs and symptoms of the possible range of abuse and or neglect in children of all ages.
• Respond competently and confidently, knowing what knowledge and skills are needed to recognise child abuse.
• Know how to make a referral to the relevant agency or professional group and to find out the outcome of a referral.
• Understand the importance of follow-up to the health and developmental outcome for the child.

CPD Points System Revised guidance from the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges emphasises that the focus of CPD should be on its quality and reflection of its impact on a clinician’s practice, rather than the amount of time spent on the activity and that the responsibility for identifying CPD requirements rests with the individual and should be based on their personal areas of practice and personal development plan agreed at their annual appraisal. Although one 'CPD credit' will normally equate to one hour of educational activity, the amount of educational activity obtained from a specific event may vary between individuals depending on an individual’s specific learning outcomes.
