Bridging the Gap: An APPs Approach to Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) is organized by University of Colorado School of Medicine: Department of Otolaryngology and will be held on Jul 20, 2018 at Center for Bioethics and Humanities - Fulginiti Pavilion, Aurora, Colorado, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is Otorhinolaryngologists. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 7.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Course Description :
Our goal is to support your current practices and expand your ENT knowledge so you can continue to be of great benefit to your patients. This promises to be a fun, casual, and open forum where you can meet and network with other Advanced Practitioners.
Course Objectives are:
After successful completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
• Manage common ENT conditions including epistaxis, sudden and gradual hearing loss, dizziness, thyroid conditions, oral lesions, chronic sinusitis, and allergic- versus non-allergic rhinitis using practice guidelines and evidence-based recommendations.
• Recognize urgent and emergent ENT conditions in the outpatient setting including sudden hearing loss, uncontrolled or chronic epistaxis, and new or changing lesions in the head and neck and understand recommendations for treatment and/or referral.
• Develop new assessment skills for the evaluation of epistaxis, hearing loss, dizziness, chronic sinusitis, allergic and non-allergic rhinitis, thyroid disease, and oral lesions to improve diagnostic accuracy and promote judicious use of diagnostic testing.
• Perform procedures to treat common ENT conditions encountered in the outpatient setting including epistaxis and dizziness.
• Comprehend the complex anatomy and physiology of the nasal cavity, sinuses, head and neck region, and vestibular system enabling an improved understanding of diseases which affect these systems, ultimately resulting in improved patient care and education.
