OVERVIEW
Blended Introduction to Transcranial Doppler Ultrasound is organized by Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute (GUI) Inc. and will be held on Mar 21, 2018 at Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute, St Petersburg, Florida, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is Sonographers, physicians, physician assistants and other medical professionals learning how to perform and/or interpret transcranial Doppler examinations. Participants may include (but are not limited to) those involved with internal medicine, cardiology, radiology, neurology, general/vascular surgery, and primary care. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 17.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Course Description:
Blended Introduction to Transcranial Doppler is designed to provide a strong foundation to perform and/or interpret Transcranial Doppler and Transcranial color flow imaging examinations. This Intro to TCD vascular ultrasound hands-on course/program includes a comprehensive online course to cover all of the didactics combined with a 1-day extensive hands-on scanning workshop featuring a 3:1 hands-on ratio using live models and an interactive pathology simulator.

Conference Objectives are :
• Increase participant's knowledge to better perform and/or interpret TCD/TCI examinations.
• Demonstrate standard scan techniques for performing a TCD and TCI exam.
• Recognize normal and abnormal intracranial Doppler spectral waveform characteristics
• Apply diagnostic criteria for TCD/TCI interpretation
• State the clinical applications and limitations of TCD/TCI examinations
• Increase knowledge and confidence to integrate the skills learned in a clinical setting.
