OVERVIEW

Bioinformatics for Core Facility Managers is organized by European Molecular Biology Laboratory - European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL - EBI) and will be held during Jun 12 - 14, 2018 at European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI), Cambridge, England, United Kingdom.

The target audience for this medical event is aimed at aspiring, new and experienced managers of bioinformatics core facilities, or other facilities that support their users to analyse and interpret large biomolecular data sets.

Bioinformatics core facilities play an essential role in enabling research in the molecular life sciences. This is constantly evolving as new research tools emerge, as experiments become increasingly data intensive, and as their clients – experimental researchers – become more exposed to the power of data-driven biology. This is an opportunity for managers of core facilities to learn directly from EMBL-EBI’s service teams, from each other and from potential users.

Conference Objectives are :
After this course you should be able to:
• Identify the strengths and limitations of your core facility
• Develop plans to overcome (or circumvent) your limitations
• Familiarise yourself and your team members with new public databases and tools, and with the latest developments in established services
• Support the development of appropriate bioinformatics skills among users of your core facility

Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
