Discover the importance of radiation education. Dental professionals who expose patients to radiation must complete minimum education and training requirements for operating x-ray machines in accordance with the Colorado Dental Practice Law. This course fulfills the lecture (didactic) portion of the requirement. You will learn about advances in oral radiology and participate in discussions of intraoral and panoramic techniques, principles, patient and operator radiation safety and machine operation.

At the end of the course you will receive a workbook to help you complete the clinical portion of the requirement under the direction of a licensed dentist or dental hygienist.
