Course Description:
Our faculty consists of national and international leaders in their fields and our sessions have been designed to provide highly relevant material in a concise and stimulating format.
Our workshops provide participants with a choice of three tracks in which to gain expertise. Concentrate on one track to develop expertise or mix-and-match tracks to experience a variety of topics: Hospitalist Generalist, Hospitalist Specialist and Enhancing Quality & Value.
Course Objectives:
• Manage patients with acute CHF who are at risk for or develop acute kidney injury
• Recognize and manage mild, moderate, and life-threatening allergic reactions
• Treat patients with pain syndromes with effective regimens that minimize adverse effects
• Apply best practices to provide optimal care and avoid readmissions for patients hospitalized with COPD
• Interpret ECG and CXR to improve the timeliness and quality of medical management
• Manage patients with dementia and delirium who develop agitation
