Challenges in Obstetrics and Gynecology is organized by Symposia Medicus and will be held from Sep 18 - 27, 2018 at Mediterranean/Adriatic Cruise, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
The target audience for this medical event is designed for physicians, certified nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, PAs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals who face ever-increasing challenges in the clinical diagnoses, treatment options, and new technologies involved in caring for the female patient. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 16.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Course Description :
The goal of this conference is to increase knowledge and enhance the competence of attendees. Emphasis will be placed on practical application of the evidence-based topics presented.
Topics for this year’s conference have been selected based on the educational needs determined from the identified professional practice gaps. The gaps were derived from a variety of sources including evaluations and outcomes data from past participants; clinical expert input; Symposia Medicus’ online survey; and other medical and nursing data.
The conference format will include didactic lectures, case studies, and question and answer sessions.
Course Objectives are :
• Describe the efficacy and safety of uterine fibroid embolization
• Implement specific management recommendations for several common cardiac problems encountered during pregnancy
• Determine what the appropriate management and drug therapy is for a pregnant patient in hypertensive crisis
• Identify the symptoms and antidote for local anesthetic overdose toxicity
• Describe screening recommendations for cervical disease
