Aloha Update: Pediatrics is organized by Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and will be held from Oct 20 - 26, 2018 at Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa, Kauai, Hawaii, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is pediatrician, family physician or other health professional who cares for infants, children and adolescents and are interested in enhancing your understanding of and developing solutions for the clinical issues you encounter in your daily practice. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 22.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Conference Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity participants will be able to identify, assess and manage common clinical issues in the areas of dermatology, infectious diseases, cardiology, gastroenterology & nutrition and adolescent medicine & sports medicine, including:
• Safely and effectively utilize topical anti-inflammatory agents for atopic dermatitis therapy.
• Describe the effectiveness of antiviral agents for influenza as well as new vaccine approaches for influenza.
• Distinguish life-threatening syncope from benign syncope utilizing history and physical exam along with common diagnostic tools.
• Recognize the various GI and extra-intestinal presentations of celiac disease, gluten intolerance and wheat allergy.
• Discuss the prevalence of eating disorders in adolescents and recognize important clinical findings to help with early diagnosis
