Course Description:
The American College of Toxicology (ACT) is offering an advanced course, Advanced Comprehensive Toxicology, to complement Toxicology for Pharmaceutical and Regulatory Scientists course. In this five-day intensive course, attendees will be provided detailed descriptions of the principles of toxicology, effects of xenobiotics on organ systems, discussions of specific classes of toxicants, mechanisms of toxicity, risk assessment, and other contemporary toxicological concepts. The content of this course will provide information that may be helpful to those seeking certification in toxicology or to those seeking advanced training in toxicology. The faculty consists of well-recognized experts in their field of study and most are Board Certified by the American Board of Toxicology.
This week-long course will begin on Sunday evening with a reception and will end on Friday with a practice exam, comprised of questions with the type and rigor found on the American Board of Toxicology exam.
