Course Description:
In the ACLS Recognition course you will learn to identify and treat a cardiac event according to the latest American Heart Association guidelines. You will learn to recognize life-threatening clinical situations, provide initial care information, and build your skills in the urgent treatment of an adult victim of a cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. ACLS emphasizes the importance of basic life support CPR to patient survival, integration of advanced cardiovascular life support interventions, and effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation. ACLS certification demonstrates that you have the necessary medical knowledge and hands-on training needed to save lives. The ACLS Recognition course uses classroom instruction, hands-on training, and an examination. The course is intended for all healthcare providers, intensive or critical care professionals, and others who may need to respond to a cardiovascular emergency.
