9th Phoenix Fetal Cardiology Symposium is organized by Phoenix Children's Hospital and will be held from Nov 02 - 06, 2018 at The Camby, Autograph Collection, Phoenix, Arizona, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is physicians including pediatric cardiologists, maternal fetal medicine specialists, obstetricians, neonatologists, radiologists, geneticists as well as sonographers, nurses, and other paramedical colleagues and trainees. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 34 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Course Description:
This is a four-day conference that will discuss important concepts in congenital heart disease as well as the most recent advances in imaging, diagnosis and management of fetal cardiac abnormalities. Several lectures will focus on the emerging specialty of fetal therapeutic intervention and the related cardiac implications. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit and present scientific abstracts focused on fetal cardiac disease as well as challenging cases of fetal cardiac disease. Breakout workshops including 3-4D echo volume manipulation, hands-on scanning of cardiac and extra-cardiac lesions, and Doppler assessment techniques are planned.
Three pre-conference tracks will be offered on November 2, 2018. A newly created pre-conference track designed for sonographers will focus on prenatal cardiac echocardiographic screening of congenital heart defects. This course will primarily be an extended hands-on scanning learning sessions giving sonographers the opportunity to scan live patients alongside course faculty. A second pre-conference track on fetal and neonatal cardiac pathology has been redesigned to emphasize the echocardiographic correlation with pathologic specimens and give attendees the opportunity for supervised examination of the pathologic specimens. A final pre-conference track designed for fetal cardiology nurse coordinators will discuss patient education materials, meeting the psychosocial needs of the patient, and other topics allowing time for collaborative discussion.
