9th Advanced Course of Higher Qualification in Spine Neuroradiology is organized by European Society of Neuroradiology (ESNR) and will be held from Nov 08 - 10, 2018 at Hilton Malta, Valletta, Inner Harbour, Malta.
Conference Description:
During the last decade, we witnessed an incredible improvement in spine biomechanics knowledge and powerful diagnostic tools, as well as the development of a new generation of “minimal invasive” devices and “covert surgery” procedures, that changed our mind about who, when and how to treat a patient affected by spine disease.
The use of X-ray and/or CT-guided procedures give Radiologists a wide range of new possibilities in treating the spine, reducing the risk of side effects and complications in comparison to conventional “open” surgery, lowering the economic costs of the procedures as well as rehab time, avoiding the risk of general anesthesia, as most of the procedures can be performed in mild sedation.
Interventional Radiology, however, cannot progress without an advanced knowledge of Diagnostic Radiology of the Spine, that is fundamental when a decisional route must be proposed to the patient: for this reason this course starting from the Clinic & Diagnosis, guiding to the final correct Treatment: Diagnostic knowledge & Interventional expertise are two sides of the same coin.
Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
