Course Description:
This course is designed to provide an important annual educational forum for Hematology and Oncology doctors. The ultimate objective of this activity is to enhance physician understanding of the disease state and treatment advances for the benefit of patients. •How can Interventional Radiology be best utilized for management of thrombosis? When is IVC filter appropriate What are the growing role of thrombolysis and venous stent placement.
•How is hemolytic anemia associated with an increased risk of thrombosis
•The association of thrombosis with cancer has been recognized for over 150 years. What is the current understanding of pathophysiology and management
•Understand mechanisms by which mutations within cancer cells activates the coagulation system.
