Fuse Symposium - Translation of obesity research into practice :
The ASO is pleased to announce that Fuse the Centre for Translational Research in Public Health is hosting a symposium on the translation of obesity research into practice, which will take place before UKCO on Wednesday, Sep 05, 2018 at the Congress venue - Newcastle University.

Fuse brings together the five North East Universities in a unique collaboration that undertakes world-class research to transform health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities. It supports the translation of this research into practice nationally and internationally and builds research capacity in the North East of England.

The aim of the symposium is to promote debate about the current evidence for public health interventions to reduce obesity and is intended for academics and individuals from practice and policy.

The symposium will provide insights from individuals involved with the School of Public Health funded ‘Foodscape’ project. This project developed, and tested in real life settings, interventions to help people make healthier choices when buying food outside the home, focusing on independent take-aways.
