OVERVIEW
50th Annual Sally Letson Symposium is organized by Canadian Ophthalmological Society (COS) / Societe Canadienne d ophthalmologie and will be held from Sep 13 - 15, 2018 at The Westin Ottawa, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
The target audience for this medical event is designed for ophthalmologists and ophthalmology fellows and residents, optometrists, medical students, and other health care practitioners whose practice includes care of patients with neuro-ophthalmic disease.
Conference Description :
The focus of the 50th Annual Sally Letson Symposium is neuro-ophthalmology. The program will address current best practices in diagnosis and management of diseases of the afferent and efferent visual pathways, with an international faculty of experts utilizing multiple educational formats, including didactic lectures, panel discussions, case-based interactive presentations, and debate/controversy sessions. Disorders of the central nervous system, optic nerves, cranial nerves, and eye movement pathways will be discussed, including both adult and pediatric conditions. Latest diagnostic techniques and recommendations for their use will be highlighted.
Conference Objectives are :
• Describe the key diagnostic features of the most common optic neuropathies.
• Recognize the most common eye movement disorders in childhood.
• Describe the basis for controversies in management of optic neuritis, pseudotumor cerebri syndrome, and nonarteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy.
• Review the most common imaging techniques for neuro-ophthalmic diagnosis.
