Nordic Course in Virtual Dermatopathology (VDP)

Nordic Course in Virtual Dermatopathology (VDP) is organized by Nordic Dermatology Association (NDA) and will be held during Apr 26 - 28, 2018 at National Museum of Iceland, Reykjavík, Reykjavíkurborg, Iceland.

The participants will get a running start on clinico-pathologic correlation with the virtual dermatopathology cases, followed by eight lectures on both tumours and inflammatory dermatoses. Interesting cases highlighting these topics will be demonstrated with clinical photographs and either photomicrographs or digital histopathological slides in virtual format in state of the art software. On the second morning, participants complete a multiple choice self-assessment exam in clinico-pathologic correlation, using virtual dermatopathology, through software access to relevant cases. The participants will use their own lap-top computers as microscopes and the software enables them to move from low to higher power. Once the questions have been answered, participants verify submissions of the answers, which thereafter cannot be altered. This will be followed with brief lectures given by the faculty on key features of the cases. The participants will also get handouts in pdf format, with the correct answers to the questions, discussion about the cases and references.
