OVERVIEW
2nd Annual School of Nursing Oncology is organized by Physicians Education Resource, LLC (PER) and will be held from Aug 03 - 04, 2018 at Loews Chicago O'Hare Hotel, Rosemont, Illinois, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is directed toward nurses interested in the management of patients with cancer. Other health care professionals interested in the management of patients with cancer are also invited to attend.
Conference Overview :
This Course will provide the latest information on key topics in oncology that can readily be applied to nursing clinical practice in a variety of settings. Our faculty will discuss strategies help to optimize patient management and provide insight into the evolving treatment landscape. Nursing professionals frequently encounter barriers to the optimal delivery of care for patients with cancer, and this program is designed to answer questions in a manner that will facilitate the overcoming of those barriers. This will be a dynamic experience, allowing participants to engage with faculty as they share their perspectives and personal experiences on clinical challenges commonly encountered in nursing practice. A variety of formats will be used to generate an exciting learning environment, including a mixture of didactic presentations, interactive discussion, and case-based learning opportunities.

At the conclusion of this symposium, you should be better prepared to
• Identify recent advancements in the management of different malignancies
• Describe the role of tumor testing options in guiding treatment selection for patients with different malignancies
• Recognize disease-related and treatment-related adverse effects for different malignancies
• Appraise clinical evidence pertaining to the management of conditions commonly encountered in the oncology clinical setting
• Develop evidence-based supportive care strategies for patients with different malignancies
• Outline effective multidisciplinary communication strategies to help optimize patient outcomes
