OVERVIEW
25th Biennial Congress of the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) is organized by European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) and will be held during Jun 30 - Jul 03, 2018 at Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre, Amsterdam, Noord Holland, Netherlands.
The theme of the Congress is ‘From Fundamental Insight to Rational Cancer Treatment’, covering the journey of discovery and development ‘from bench to bedside’. The Congress will feature world-class speakers discussing the most innovative current research topics, including a special education programme aimed at clinicians. As well as high-profile plenary sessions, the programme offers parallel symposia, allowing participants to build their own scientific programme according to their interests.
EACR25 participants will also benefit from plenty of chances to interact, discuss and reflect on the information presented. These include workshops for early-career researchers, dedicated networking sessions and social events, and the opportunity for participants to share their work through oral and poster presentations, including the new ‘poster spotlight’ sessions which highlight the most promising posters to a wider audience.
A special one-day educational programme before the start of the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) Congress. This one day programme of 8 special lectures is designed for oncologists and medical practitioners who want to learn more about the research that underpins cancer treatment.
These sessions will also be useful for early-career researchers, for example those just beginning their PhD, who would benefit from a summary overview of the field of basic and translational cancer research.
The programme will cover key topics within basic and translational research, giving an overview including the latest breakthroughs. It will enable participants to get a feel for what is going on in the top cancer research laboratories.
