OVERVIEW
22nd Annual Winter Conference on Clinical Issues in OB/GYN is organized by Symposia Medicus and would be held during Feb 14 - 17, 2018 at St Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino, Frigate Bay, St George Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis.
The target audience for this medical event is physicians, certified nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, PAs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals who face ever-increasing challenges in the clinical diagnoses, treatment options, and new technologies involved in caring for the female patient. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 18 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Course Description :
The goal of this conference is to increase knowledge and enhance the competence of attendees. Emphasis will be placed on practical application of the evidence-based topics presented.
Topics for this year’s conference have been selected based on the educational needs determined from the identified professional practice gaps. The gaps were derived from a variety of sources including evaluations and outcomes data from past participants; clinical expert input; Symposia Medicus’ online survey; and other medical and nursing data.
Conference format will include didactic lectures, smaller group breakout and interactive sessions, case studies, and question and answer sessions.
An outstanding faculty has been assembled for this conference. Each member was selected based on their individual area of expertise and ability to communicate current, evidence-based, and practical information to participants.
Conference Objectives :
As a result of participating in this conference, you should have increased knowledge and enhanced competence to
• Screen pregnant patients for substance abuse during pregnancy
• Recognize sonographic features of congenital Zika syndrome
• Recommend pharmacologic approaches to polycystic ovarian syndrome based on present evidence
• Effectively diagnose and treat interstitial cystitis in the office setting
• Describe an optimal management strategy for the fetus with intrauterine growth restriction
