OVERVIEW

2018 University of Virginia (UVA) Voice Center Stroboscopy and Voice Course is organized by University of Virginia and will be held during Apr 06 - 07, 2018 at Education Resource Center, Charlottesville, Virginia, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event is beginner through advanced-level clinicians. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 13.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Conference Description :
This two-day intensive course is designed to provide practical and hands-on education for speech-language pathologists and otolaryngologists in the performance and interpretation of laryngeal stroboscopy, as well as voice therapy basics. Lectures will cover the principles of laryngeal function, fundamentals of laryngeal stroboscopy and interpretation, case studies and diagnostics, voice therapy techniques, and the Interdisciplinary Clinic model.

Conference Objectives are :
• Emerging hands-on skill with rigid and flexible laryngoscopy
• A beginner-to-intermediate skill level in interpreting laryngeal stroboscopy
• A beginner-to-intermediate skill level in making recommendations based on interpretation of laryngeal stroboscopy
• An understanding of common voice pathologies and their subsequent treatments
• An understanding of the role of the physical therapist in the Multidisciplinary Voice Clinic

Registration closes at midnight on March 29th after which time walk in rates will apply.
