2018 Updates in Hematology Conference by University of Virginia

Updates in Hematology and Hematologic Malignancies 2018 is organized by University of Virginia and will be held on May 11, 2018 at Omni Charlottesville Hotel, Charlottesville, Virginia, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event is community hematologists and oncologists, as well as mid-level providers and nurses. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 6.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Conference Description :
This program will explore research and advances in the diagnosis and management of benign hematologic conditions and hematologic malignancies including indications for novel therapies and use in special populations. This meeting will use case-based presentations to highlight the most recent data for management of both benign and malignant hematologic conditions. Cases will touch on recommendations for treatment of common malignant hematologic diagnoses such as myelodysplastic syndromes and multiple myeloma. We will also discuss treatment alternatives in special populations, such as the elderly patient.

Conference Objectives are :
• Understand the indications for novel drugs in the treatment of myeloma, lymphoma, and leukemia.
• Utilize oral anticoagulants appropriately for treatment and prevention of blood clots.
• Identify the indications for CAR T cell therapy and allogeneic stem cell transplant
